Réseau de l'Arc

At the heart of the Arc jurassien, the Réseau de l'Arc is the first integrated healthcare organisation in Switzerland since 1 January 2024.

It brings together the Moutier and Saint-Imier hospital sites, a number of Medicentres and the Biel Medical Centre. Its services are complemented by an outpatient and inpatient mental health network, an ambulance service, two EMS, two radiology institutes, a centre for physical and cognitive therapies and a home hospitalisation service.

Integrated care, a joint initiative of Swiss Medical Network, Visana health insurance and the canton of Berne, offers a comprehensive and innovative integration of healthcare for the region's residents.

From vision to reality

Successful integration

The Réseau l'Arc integrated care organisation has been able to set new standards in healthcare by placing prevention and health promotion at the heart of its concerns.

Over the months, the project has grown with its members and teams, from family doctors and specialists to medical and homecare teams. The challenge of the VIVA health plan was to enable its members to benefit from personalised monitoring, optimised access to and coordination of care, as well as genuine preventive activities: the results are gratifying.

This innovative approach would be nothing without the coordination work of health managers, who have rapidly established themselves as a key component of integrated care. As the family doctors' right-hand men and women, they are available to members to answer any questions they may have and to support them throughout their healthcare pathway.

«The Réseau de l'Arc's priority: the right care, at the right time, in the right place and by the right person!»

Why choose Réseau de l'Arc?

The Réseau de l'Arc healthcare organisation launched by Visana, Swiss Medical Network and the canton of Berne provides all healthcare services for its members and VIVA policyholders from a single source: preventive care, basic care provided by family doctors, hospital services and home care.

This allows for personalised patient care and better coordination between service providers, resulting in more effective medical treatment. The VIVA Health Plan and its corresponding basic insurance product have been approved by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).
